Basic unit of organism
How to observe cell
Able to see using microscope
There are 2 types of microscope
Light microscope
Principle
Use refraction of light
- Illumination source : discharge light ray toward specimen(견본)
- Converging lens : converge light ray to specimen
- Stage : place which we put specimen on
- specimen
- Objective lens : make light passed from specimen bigger (usually there are many obj lens in the microscope)
- Body tube
- Eyepiece : magnify object more (Final stage of microscope before seeing)
Magnification
can magnify about 1,500 times
Electronic microscope
Principle
Use electron beam
- Electron source : discharge beam of electron
- electromagnetic lens : converge electron using charge
- specimen
- Image formation : TEM / SEM
- Detectors : detected e- to image
Vacuum
Because e- is affected by air molecules, electronic microscopic uses vacuum condition.
Magnification
can magnify about 500,000 times
